			Chinese Mountain is the highest summit on Quadra Island, located between Vancouver Island and the mainland. During the ice age, glacial ice flowed from the summit of the Coast Ranges, on the mainland, right over islands like Quadra, and even continued on across Vancouver Island to the Pacific shore.
