Northern California - Redwood National Park
			Prairie Creek State Park, now part of Redwood National Park, has some of the finest stands of redwoods anywhere. Old growth forests like this may have trees three hundred feet tall and contain more biomass than any other ecosystem in the world. Almost all old growth redwood is now protected within state and federal parks.
