| In the 1960's it seemed only a matter of time before the entire California coast was built up and sealed off from public access. One of the early warnings came from the Sea Ranch development, where a former sheep ranch became a private residential area, closed to the public. The people of California responded with the far-reaching Coastal Protection Act, which has effectively saved the coast from massive development, and provided access, even here at Sea Ranch. | |||
