Wyoming - Jackson and the Grand Tetons
			The Grand Teton Range rises abruptly more than 6000 feet above the flat floor of Jackson Hole. Originally only the peaks were protected in the national park, but far-sighted conservationists, led by John D. Rockefeller, Jr,, quietly bought up the ranch lands on the valley floor and donated them to the nation.
